California Ethical Real Estate Funding, LLC (CEREF) is a real estate investment company located in Long Beach, California.  Our Company purchases residential whole mortgages and Real Estate Owned (REO Properties) from large financial institutions with the objective of generating profit by re-structuring or re-financing these mortgages or selling the REO properties we have purchased.

The guiding principal of our corporate philosophy is the preservation of homeownership in California, accomplished through ethical and fair dealing with our investors and homeowners.  Our management team has developed work-out strategies that enable our investors to receive an attractive return on their investment while helping homeowners maintain ownership and avoid the expense, inconvenience, and embarrassment of foreclosure or relocation.

We own our real estate assets.  We do not provide our services to third parties, nor do we ever charge our homeowners fees for the services we provide.  Instead, we work closely with our Loan Servicer (an organization that collects mortgage payments), mortgage banks, and third party service providers to provide our homeowners cost effective and appropriate solutions for their homeownership problems.

We believe homeowners should beware of any person or organization that asks to be paid a fee in exchange for housing counseling services or modification of a delinquent loan. These services are available for free from many reputable organizations and can in most situations be handled by homeowners themselves.  Homeowners should also beware of anyone who says they can “save” a home by signing or transferring the deed to their home, or by submitting mortgage payments to anyone other than their mortgage company without their approval.
